In honor of Nancy and David Bilheimer’s extraordinary gift, Mease Countryside Hospital is in the midst of a major expansion project that will create a more connected hospital campus by adding a four-story parking garage with an elevated pedestrian walkway and the four-story Bilheimer Tower that will add 104 private patient rooms.
Focused on enhancing patient centered care and the family experience, the hospital’s ambitious expansion is designed to create continuous platforms of care that support clinical excellence. Patient and visitor comfort is also part of the new design, featuring an outdoor courtyard with dining and seating areas, a children’s play space and a water feature offering visitors a respite area that incorporates natural elements.
The Bilheimer Tower will also feature a 30-bed observation unit, Entel Education Center, and renovated gift shop, cafeteria, admitting/registration department, surgical services and Mother-Baby Unit and NICU.
